Recommended private Giants Causeway Tour route

Your private-hire vehicle and knowledgeable, local guide will collect you at your desired Dublin pick-up point, before heading north on a relaxing drive. We take a short refreshment stop to break the journey before continuing on through the ‘Glens of Antrim’ en route to the Causeway. Gaze out over the Irish sea and enjoy spectacular views of Rathlin Island – if it’s a clear day you might even spot the Scottish coastline on the horizon!

We arrive at the Giant’s Causeway with full time to truly experience this natural wonder. The Causeway consists of over 40,000 hexagonal columns – which were the result of an erupting volcano thousands of years ago. The legend of the Giant’s Causeway claims that Finn McCool (a famous mythological Celtic hero) constructed the causeway himself – as a battleground for his encounter with Scottish giant Benandonner. Science or Legend? You’ll have to decide for yourself as you amble along this spectacular natural wonder. Be sure to visit the ‘Giants Causeway Visitor Center, which following recent refurbishments, houses impressive exhibits about the history of the site and an outlet offering fantastic, locally produced souvenirs. Following our causeway visit, we’ll make a lunch stop- where you can enjoy some of Northern Ireland’s finest cuisine before driving back south towards Belfast city.

Passing through the regenerated Belfast Dockland’s district, you’ll have the chance to tour the state-of-the-art ‘Titanic Experience’. The experience was opened to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ship’s conception in this very city –right through to its final resting place in the North Atlantic. The experience contains over nine galleries of interactive and informative Titanic exhibits and welcomes millions of worldwide visitors each year.

As an alternative to the ‘Titanic Experience’ you can choose to explore Belfast city. Highlights of the city include the City Hall, the Albert Clock and an optional political ‘Black Taxi’ tour of Belfast. The tour charts the troubled history of the city and the remarkable events, which have led to Belfast’s emergence from conflict to become the metropolis that exists today.

Following your Belfast stop, enjoy a comfortable 2-hour return journey to Dublin’s city center – in plenty of time to enjoy an evening’s entertainment in the capital.
